Tim’s Braised Chuck Roast
This recipe is largely based on a recipe from Tim Ferriss’ The Four Hour Chef, which helped set me off on the journey of learning to cook a bit. Turns out braised beef is a great, simple method for getting the job done.
Active Time: 10 min
Ingredients:
Large cut of chuck roast
4 tbsp of kosher salt
1 tbsp of minced garlic
3 cans of beef broth
Steps:
- Pour 2 cans of beef broth and 2 tbsp of salt in Dutch oven
- Gently set in chuck roast
- Gently pour third can of beef broth and 2 tbsp of salt in over chuck roast
- Sprinkle minced garlic evenly on and around chuck roast
- Cover Dutch oven and place in oven at 350º for 2.5 to 3 hours
- Remove from oven and let rest on cutting board for 10 min
- Slice or serve as desired
