A home of music

One of my favorite habits that we have as a family almost always have the sound of music ringing throughout our house. We have four speakers spread across our most frequently used rooms that sync up, and they are almost always on.

Sometimes, we have Fleetwood Mac radio humming in the background. Most mornings, my daughter and I start our day dancing to Queen or Def Leppard or Joan Jett or whoever happens to come on. Every weekend we have “Sinatra Sundays” because there is hardly a better way to relax before the week than to have Frank and Perry Como and Bing and Nat King Cole singing to you all day.

I was fortunate to grow up with great music. It takes me back when I hear Cat Stevens and James Taylor and Three Dog Night and the Eagles come on our speakers. The gift of music is one I was given and one I am grateful to pass down.
