Dawn of a new day

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”

The commitment I’m making to myself in 2022 is that I will become the man that I always imagined I’d be in each aspect of my life – strong, loving, courageous, caring, engaged, focused, disciplined.

I am going to workout hard, start a new venture, take ownership of every aspect of my life, lead my family in our faith, learn things I’ve put on the backburner, and stop asking people, and life, for permission before proceeding. And I’m going to share the journey with the world. You’re welcome to join.

I’m telling you this now so I have no excuses. You can call me out. If you follow along on social media, you’ll have my January weight and body fat percentage. I can tell you now that I’m not currently proficient in Spanish (one goal) and that I am only a casual cryptocurrency investor (something that I’m diving deep into this year). I’m also bad at managing uncomfortable situations (my friend and I have created “comfort challenges” each month to make progress on this). I have relational goals (e.g., “legacy interviews”) to conduct that I’ll give you sneak peaks into. You’ll see and hear about updates as I go, but next December I, and my life, will look different.

What are you going to to differently in 2022? Living the same year over and over culminates in a life unworthy of the opportunity we’ve been given.

“Every man dies. Not every man really lives.”
