Love and conflict

Love is not the absence of of conflict, or even the absence of hard words. Sometimes love is saying exactly what needs to be said, not in anger, but also without a filter.

We often lose sight of this rather obvious truth because hearing things you don’t want to hear doesn’t always feel like love. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t.
